In this program, students receive recognized training in the dramatic arts which also integrates several courses in French Studies, History and Philosophy. By focussing on experimentation and dramatization, students develop research methods that prepare them for concerted action on the job market while also having three teachable subjects recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education. Through its emphasis on dramatic play, the program reinforces critical and analytical abilities, while enhancing students’ French-language skills and cultural appreciation.
The 120-credit Bachelor of Fine Arts with specialization in Theatre is unique since it combines three teachable subjects (theatre arts, French, history or philosophy) recognized by the Ontario Ministry of Education.
The Théâtre program offers four academic outcomes in theatre arts: (1) Baccalauréat spécialisé en théâtre (120 credits), (2) Majeure en théâtre (42 credits), (3) Concentration en théâtre (36 credits) and (4) Mineure en théâtre (24 credits). In this program, students receive recognized training in the dramatic arts which also integrates several courses in French studies, history, and philosophy.
