Dean's Message - Dr. Michel Delorme
Welcome, Bienvenue, Aanii!
I want to take this opportunity to welcome incoming students to the 2020-2021 academic year! While this year will be an unprecedented one, your team at the Faculty of Management has been busy preparing for what will become a first year to remember! You are the first cohort to experience big changes in the post-secondary education system. This fall will be challenging in many unique and novel ways - we encourage you to learn, ask questions and reach out if you need help, support and guidance. We recognize that you will never have the opportunity to compare to the old way, the way it was or the way things got done in the past. Instead, you have envious opportunity to lead the change that will follow you and your class throughout your academic career and into the future of the workforce!
You will get to meet and know classmates, faculty members and support team first virtually and then hopefully in the future, in person. What you need to know is that your new family here at Laurentian University and the Faculty of Management, no matter what discipline you are studying, is here for you.
Please engage, challenge and learn! Join us with your energy, your passion and your experiences to enrich your educational career as well as that of your classmates, help improve our impact on socially responsible business education and lead the innovative change necessary in today's business climate.

I am very happy to be back in the Academic Advising role with the School of Business Administration. This is a position I am familiar with, however, it will take me some time to learn the new programs that have been developed since I was last in this role.
A little about me, I am a business owner and a very busy one. I will do my very best to reply to your needs as soon as I am able, even if that is outside of my set office hours. Please be mindful of the fact that I am operating a very busy fitness studio while fulfilling the role of Academic Advisor.
Please follow the instructions below and always submit your Progress Report and Academic Summary with your request for Advising. This is your education and you must take ownership of the process! The Self Serve portals are great and I am also here to help you navigate.
Should you need to reach me for Academic Advise, please use the link provided here to either book an appointment by phone or in person. Drop-in appointments will be available this THURSDAY, September 16th ONLY, as this Friday is the final date to ADD/DROP courses without penalty.
Generally, my office hours will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:45 am to 11:30 am, and you are welcome to drop by. Office hours are subject to change if I have no in-person appointments booked I may work from home.
Best of luck with your studies and I’m happy to help in any way I can.
